Developer aQuadiun announced that Corebreaker is launching in Steam Early Access on May 9. This fast-paced action-platformer is being offered at a special launch price of $7.99.

Corebreaker puts players in the role of Nova, a robot who awakens at the brink of humanity's extinction at the hands of machines. They'll need to fight their way through supreme robots if they are to find their purpose. However, before even doing all of that they'll need to unlock abilities, upgrades, and powerful weapons.

Fight the Horde

When it comes to fighting the hordes of robots, players have to run, jump, dash, and shoot. They'll need to combine different melee attack moves to result in maximum impact. There's going to be battles that challenge players more than simply mowing grass. What makes the game fun and exciting is the satisfaction of overcoming tough enemies with smooth and skillful combat.

Fail and Return

One of the interesting things about Corebreaker is that no matter how many times Nova falls, it can be extracted, repaired, and then sent right back into the fray. While progress does reset, some of the power-up chips and resources collected deep within the ruins are preserved. They can be used to permanently upgrade Nova's systems, unlock stronger skills, power move punches, additional gadgets, and even more powerful weapons.

Underground Ruins

The underground ruins are vast and ever-changing. That’s because their structure shifts every time Nova is deployed. As Nova delves deeper, the types and configurations of enemies evolve.

In addition to the bosses that guard each biome, there are powerful elite enemies that differ in sizes and skills awaiting the players. They’ll also need to break down walls to discover hidden rooms filled with useful resources and treasures.
