Polish your armor and prepare for a gooey climb as DROS, the body-swapping, puzzle-filled, adventure platformer is set to land on Nintendo Switch on July 12th. The game, developed by RedDeer.Games and emergeWorlds, offers players 40 beautiful diorama-like levels packed with quirky characters and plenty of secrets and treasures to unearth.
DROS introduces two unconventional heroes, Captain, a bounty hunter in a rather dire situation, and Little Dros, an alchemical slime creature. Their misadventures and shared objectives have forced them to join forces, and together they aim to scale and destroy the Alchemist's Tower, also known as the Machine. The game draws plot inspiration from 1980s fantasy films, and its unique art style combines detailed diorama-like locations, charming 3D chibi-style character sprites, and beautifully hand-drawn portraits of each character. Players will need to utilize the complementary skillsets of Captain and Little Dros as they navigate through the Alchemist’s Tower. Captain relies on his warrior experience, while Little Dros uses her magical abilities to help solve puzzles and overcome obstacles. Switch seamlessly between the two protagonists to complete tasks, fight or sneak past enemies, traverse platforms, and discover hidden rooms and treasures. Along their journey, they will encounter many unique and sometimes quirky characters, such as the friendly alchemist Enki and several other dros.
DROS promises a world full of challenging, mind-bending steampunk puzzles. Captain and Little Dros will need to learn to work together despite their differences. Only through cooperation and teamwork will they manage to overcome all odds and succeed in their mission. Keep an eye out for DROS on the Nintendo Switch this July 12th and is already available on Steam.
