Ubisoft announced that Rayman Legends Retold is releasing this October 1. It's going to be available for the PC along with consoles PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and the Nintendo Switch 2. The game invites players on a bold reimagining of the beloved platformer.
Pre-purchase of the game is now open with the Standard Edition being offered at $39.99. The Deluxe Edition is priced at $49.99. It has the base game along with the Rayman Origins: Enhanced Edition. That's not all since it also comes with the in-game art gallery and the retro pack which contains four costumes.
Those who pre-purchase any edition of Rayman Legends Retold can receive the exclusive Hoodlum Havoc Pack which contains two costumes for Rayman and Globox, inspired by Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc.
The game sees Rayman and his friends on what may be their most ambitious adventure yet. They are faced with a new enemy who’s stirring trouble from the underworld. Helping bring the journey to life are the voiced cinematics and expanded soundtrack, the latter of which has original themes combined with new compositions. Players get immersed in a world that’s brimming with life and reimagined with stunning visuals.
A Reimagined Remake
Rayman Legends Retold is a reimagined remake of Rayman Legends, first released in 2013. While it continues to have the side-scrolling platform gameplay the original game is known for, the studio made sure to rebuild the presentation using 3D visuals in the Snowdrop engine. The game supports up to four-player local cooperative play. Returning as playable characters are Rayman, Globox, Grand Minimus, and Barbara.
Other features returning in Rayman Legends Retold include the Cave of Bad Dreams and the Cave of Trials challenges. Kung Foot is back as well and brings with it revised controls, power-ups, and customizable rules. There are also a lot of new content that include new levels, four new musical stages, and a new sixth realm.
