Latest Patch for Demon Tides Introduces Game+ Mode

Randomizer Mode introduced.

By jasonnieva on Tue, April 14, 2026

A new patch has been released for Demon Tides and launches the Game+ Mode. There's also the Randomizer Mode.

For the first new feature, the Game+ Mode has players select a 100% save to start NG+. Once they're in NG+, players can reset the story and start over. The good news is that they get to keep all outfits, dyes and talismans. In addition, all damage is doubled with enemies being swapped out with more difficult ones. Finally, shortcut ropes get removed entirely.

Randomizer Mode

The latest patch now allows players to select an empty save and start a Randomizer playthrough. In Randomizer, rewards across chests, challenges and boss fights are completely randomized. Shop item selections, as well as enemy types, are also randomized. Even the biomes get randomized.

Then there's the Randomizer HEX Mode. It works similar to the Randomizer Mode but with an added twist. Everything players pick up gets automatically equipped and they won't be able to change it.

Other New Features

Aside from what's already mentioned, viewing graffitis is now a separate and secondary prompt/input. In addition, it no longer shares that with general interactions. Also added is the ability to filter leaderboard entries based on if players include ghost data or not.

Gameplay Changes

There are a lot of improvements made to the game as a result of the new patch. Fixes include issues related to:

  • rare chance of the ocean disappearing when brushing the camera on very specific geometry.
  • freezing effect lingering after dying and respawning outside of the snowstorm.
  • ability to disable the freezing mechanic under several conditions including the Chum's ice attack.
  • some outfit textures breaking when getting frozen.

Meet Beebz and the Crew

Demon Tides has players follow Beebz and her crew on a journey of self-discovery. They get to navigate the open seas and explore each distant structure. Along the way they uncover every hidden nook. Players have to beat challenges or find hidden chests to collect talismans that modify abilities and allow them to express themselves through their schmovement. They can even switch up their drip with a wide range of discoverable outfits.
