Sad Cat Studios announced that REPLACED is now officially on Steam. It's available for $19.99.

In a post, the studio shared that it's been a long journey but the game is finally available. They added that they're proud to say that they managed to stick to their vision and didn't compromise on delivering on their high standards. They're excited for everyone to step into a world that's a result of their "commitment and hard work."

Early this year, it was reported that REPLACED was coming out March 12. However, the studio later on announced that the release was going to be delayed to April. In post, the development team said that while the game was technically finished, a few more weeks were needed to make sure that the experience is what players deserved.

Making the release more exciting is that the game is Steam Deck verified. This means players can get the full experience by simply picking up REPLACED and then play it anywhere they go.

REPLACED puts players in the role of R.E.A.C.H., an AI that's been trapped in a human body against its will. This AI has been created by the Phoenix Corporation. The game is set in Phoenix City, one of the strongholds of the Corporation and is actually a haven for corruption. It's a place where outlaws thrive and human lives are being traded like currency. As R.E.A.C.H., players are tasked with exposing the hidden agenda of the Corporation and ultimately the purpose behind their creation.

REPLACED is a 2.5D cinematic action platformer that's wrapped in an intense cyberpunk thriller narrative. Players can run, climb, and fight their way across crumbling districts, industrial wastelands, and neon-lit alleys with fluid movement and fast, responsive combat. They can chain precise melee strikes with satisfying ranged attacks to bring down enemies in high-intensity encounters while keeping the flow of exploration.

The retro-futuristic world of the game is brought to life through hand-crafted pixel art that's been enhanced by modern visual effects. Helping set the tone is the moody and synth-driven soundtrack.
