ProbablyMonsters announced that Storm Lancers is now on Steam. This roguelite and metroidvania-inspired 2D action platformer invites everyone to save planet Cryptica. To do this, they'll have to master a wide range of weapons and abilities.

The game is priced at $19.99 but is currently being offered at 35% discount until December 24. There's also a bundle available that has the base game and adds the official soundtrack.

Storm Lancers sees players and their friend crash landing on alien planet. One that's hiding a secret source of powerful magic. After being chosen as heroes by two magical creatures, it's now up to players to save a planet where all of reality is on the verge of collapse. They'll have to fight, die, and bond with the Stormhearts.

Rogue-Lite Action

In the game, no two runs are the same. Players can explore the ever-shifting biomes in 4K 60 FPS on supported hardware. Players leap, slash, and dash, with each one bringing them you one step closer to unraveling the mystery. Along the way they get to discover powerful gear, master randomized weapons, and earn permanent upgrades that transform the base moveset into an acrobatic arsenal.

Bosses and Enemies

The planet is one that players need to be on their toes. That's because there's a lot of things that what to kill them. There's flora and fauna and even a machine race that consumes planets. They also have to fight against bosses and enemies that force them to think faster, fight harder, and adapt quickly. It's a battlefield that's always changing and where killer instincts and survival skills are everything.

Weapons & Abilities

Players can grow their acrobatic moveset using permanent upgrades like slide, dash, and double jump. They can also experiment with an evolving arsenal, flaming swords, razor-sharp katars, rifles, hammers, and grenade launchers. Each weapon in the game has been designed for destruction, so choose wisely or die quickly.

Chaotic Coop

Storm Lancers is an all-out and rogue-like action that’s even crazier with two. Whether players are having trouble with a later biome or just looking to add some chaos, a friend can dive in instantly in couch co-op or online with Steam Remote Play Together. If the partner drops, it's possible to keep playing seamlessly in solo mode to stay in the action.
