Electric Monk Media announced that Strange Brew is currently being offered at a 25% discount. This cinematic 3D action-platformer comes packed with intense and zombie-movie-style chases. The promotion is set to end April 30.
That's not the only treat available to players. That's because the official soundtrack of the game is available for free. It has 27 tracks all thanks to Jesse Hamel. Learn more about the soundtrack here.
Meet Joe
Strange Brew is set in the ruins of a company-owned town. It tells the story of a catastrophic MoonDucks Coffee experiment that has gone horribly wrong. It seems that a contaminated pumpkin spice latte has turned citizens into ravenous zombies. It puts players in the webbed feet of Joe the Duck, a twitchy coffee-shop mascot who's fueled by espresso.
In the game, Joe needs to navigate the fallout using speed, timing, and whatever environmental chaos he can turn to his advantage. These include crackling power lines to collapsing streets and even runaway industrial machinery. To survive, it's important to have quick thinking and creative momentum.
Outrageous Horror Spectacle
Strange Brew features cinematic camera work and combines it with fast-paced 3D platforming. It offers relentless chase sequences along with outrageous horror spectacle. Players have to dash across strobe-lit warehouses as they cling to life atop speeding transit systems as well as improvise escapes as entire city blocks descend into disaster. As tension escalates on every level, it pushes Joe to keep moving no matter how dire things become.
A Tribute to the Classic
One of the interesting features of the game is that it has an unlockable black-and-white "1968 Living Dead Mode." It has grainy visuals, stark lighting, and even vintage flair. As a tribute to classic zombie cinema, this mode gives players an alternate way to experience the apocalypse.
Overall, Strange Brew is a cinematic 3D action-platformer that's packed with intense and zombie-movie-style chases. Players can sprint to escape, toss beans to distract, and trigger environmental traps to slow, smash, or zap the hordes. Get ready for nonstop mayhem, absurd story beats, and plenty of screams and laughs. Strange Brew on Steam now.
