New items available in the Item Shop with the new update.
A new update is now live in Angry Video Game Nerd 8-bit and it's sure to bring a smile to those looking to test their skills. The Endless Challenge is here and invites players to fight their way across randomized rooms.
This mode has rooms taken from each level of the game. Then after every 10 rooms, there's a room waiting for the players. However, once they beat the boss, the difficulty then increases. The more players progress, the tougher the rooms get.
New Items
Players able to beat a boss can obtain helpful items over in the item shop. There they get to meet none other than the Game Weenie. This character shows players two to four random items that they can buy with coins collected in Endless Challenge.
The thing is, for those who don't like what Game Weenie has to offer, they can run the lamp to change them. However, taking not since doing so decreases his mood, which in turn can affect which items appear in the reroll.
Update Changes
Aside from introducing Endless Challenge, the new update also bring with it these changes:
- Localization Error Fixed.
- Toggle for Golden Shitpickle Item added in Experience Options (Final Life Assist Item).
- Golden Shitpickle behavior changed on bosses for Normal difficulty.
- Adjusted Guillotine sensitivity causing it to not activate in some circumstances.
- Made it so Festerdrome can't take a pot shot at players after they kill it.
- Adjusted drop platform hitbox on Festerdrome to allow players to better attach to them.
- Adjusted some enemy behaviors.
- Subtitle positioning adjusted across all platforms.
- Reverse London Letule no longer damages players on contact.

Angry Video Game Nerd 8-bit is a new action platformer that's set in the AVGN universe and brings back the ultimate nerd rage.
