In a heartfelt move, InkForge Studios has announced that they will be donating 50% of the Steam revenue from their upcoming game, I'll be Brave, Tomorrow, to the Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity.
I'll be Brave, Tomorrow is a unique narrative adventure game that puts players in the shoes of a sick child in a hospital. The child's parents have just bought them the latest game console, and the game they play is the very adventure that players will embark on. The game offers an engaging blend of a 3D hospital room where the player can interact with various objects and mini-games, and a 2D retro platformer game that the child character plays. The 3D and 2D worlds interact in innovative ways, introducing new mechanics and thrilling boss fights.
InkForge Studios, a game development and publishing company run by Falmouth University students, is behind this ambitious project. They have already been making a splash in the UK expo scene, with successful showings at events such as Insomnia and WASD. The demo of I'll be Brave, Tomorrow is currently available on Steam and has been well received.
The studio plans to release I'll be Brave, Tomorrow in September 2024. While the demo offers a glimpse into the artistic style of the game, it is only a small preview of what the team hopes to achieve by the release date. The full game is expected to offer 3 - 5 hours of gameplay, with replayable levels and mini-games to keep players engaged long after the credits roll. InkForge Studios recently concluded a successful Kickstarter campaign for the game, raising over £5,000.
