Never Grave: The Witch and The Curse is a game where players go on a journey with the help of a cursed hat. This interesting mix of Metroidvania and Roguelite has players use a variety of magic or possess enemies to reach the lowest levels. They'll need to bring back loot, build new facilities in the village, and make a living and strengthen themselves for the next battle.
The game was initially planned to be released in early access. In a post, developer Frontside 180 revealed that they decided to instead release the complete form due to the valuable feedback received from the players during the demo period. In addition to the version released on Steam, the game is also available on consoles PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and the Nintendo Switch. Making things even more exciting is that the game supports crossplay between all platforms and thus allows multiplayer across all devices.
2D Action
Never Grave: The Witch and The Curse is a 2D action game where players need to identify enemy attacks, fight with magic, and sometimes use the terrain to win. Dungeons like ruins and botanical gardens are auto-generated and change each time. That means each run is unique. In addition, there are obstacles and puzzles waiting to block the player's path in the dungeons. The dungeons also have materials that players can collect which can then be used to clear the rubble of ruined villages, build new facilities and cultivate crops in the fields. They can use the village as a staging area to prepare for their next battles. Players can cook food and take advantage of skill trees to grow more powerful.
The game lets players possess enemies through a cursed hat. They can then use unique abilities from the possessed enemies to open up avenues of action and gain an advantage in battle.
