The Age of Dragons Introduces the Shadowscar Landing to Brawlhalla

Report system has been improved to make the process easier for the development team to take action.

The Age of Dragons has arrived in Brawlhalla. One of the highlights is the new Shadowscar Landing map. It has a rocky landing pad that has two floating platforms with a large sleeping dragon. This map is perfect for 1v1s and even 2v2s.

A time limited queue that features this map runs between March 19 to March 26.

Dexterity Update

The new map arrives to the game through Patch 10.04. One of the big changes is on Dexterity. In particular, weapon durability now has the additional property of being correlated to Dexterity. This means that higher Dexterity Legends are more difficult to disarm with those having lower Dexterity getting disarmed more easily. The original effect of Dexterity though, which is modifying recovery frames of attacks, remains unchanged.

Snapdash Update

The update also makes changes to snapdash. For those new to the game, this is a dash that snaps the legend to a platform. It happens when players try to dash while they're a little bit above a platform while falling down to it. It's also when they are almost all the way through a soft platform as players are rising through it. Before the update, players would always perform a forward dash when snap dashing, no matter what direction they were facing.

One of the changes is that performing a falling pivot snapdash now results in a backdash. The original effect of a rising pivot snapdash, onto a soft platform, remains unchanged.

Meanwhile, backdashing with enough forward momentum now takes longer, specifically 12 frames up from 9 frames. The original effect of a standing backdash, with no momentum, remains unchanged.

Finally, the maximum amount of distance someone can snapdash was reduced by 40%.

New Report System

Players should also be happy to know that the report system has been updated. How it works now is that when reporting a player or a guild, players simply have to choose the issue from a list of categories. This update simplifies the reporting process and makes it easier for the development team to take appropriate action.
