Supersaurus announced that Punch Upon a Time is now in Early Access on Steam. This team-based Smash-like game has players take on rounds of mini-games and combat alongside friends. As part of the launch, the game is being offered at 25% discount for a limited period.
In a post, the development team shared that this title is "a labor of love." They wanted to create a fighting game where friends, regardless of skill levels, can play with each other rather than against one another.
The Next Chapter
With Punch Upon a Time now available, the next question is what's next for the game? The team revealed that the launch is merely the beginning. One of the major plans is to introduce the 13th character. There are also new modes planned along with stages and even items that's sure to spice up the Squad Sagas. The team assured everyone that they'll continue to work on improving the game.
Team Up
The game has players team up with a pair of friends or queue solo and take to the skies in Squad Saga. To win, players need to strategize with the squad about upcoming matches. They'll need to defeat opponents to damage their sky galleon and become the last Squad standing. After that they can then pick a Pocket Item to carry into the next match.
Players can embrace the chaos as each round of Squad Saga is randomly selected from the massive pool of game modes. In Basketball, players can dunk the competition. Meanwhile, Red-Light-Green-Light has teams try to outlast others. Then there's Long Live the King where the goal is to knock out the enemy monarch.
